The Department of Transportation (DOT) is using the $300 million in equipment it awarded last year to expand the use of autonomous vehicles on the highways and highways of the country.

The new equipment will be used to inspect vehicles and analyze the data gathered, which can help prevent accidents.

The equipment is being designed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and has been funded through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) program.

According to a statement released by the DOT, the program is a “cost-effective way to increase public confidence in the safety of the highways.”

The DOT says it is “fully funding the equipment, and the first deployment is expected to be in 2018.”

The new technology will be installed on vehicles in 2019.
