C., a software engineer with a Florida-based software company, was fired from his job after he pleaded guilty to illegally obtaining and using a computer-related device, according to Axios.
The company that A.B. used, Computer Associates, said in a statement that he is “deeply sorry for the harm caused to his coworkers, and to the Company, through this action.”
A.B.’s employer, Computer Software Group, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, A. B said he had been “fired” and “disqualified” after he was caught stealing software and used his company to obtain a credit card.
“I am deeply sorry for what has happened to my family and friends,” he wrote.
“This was never my intention.
It was an act of love and forgiveness for the pain I have caused.
I am a man of God and a husband and father.”
The company also said in its statement that A-B was suspended for 90 days and is barred from working with anyone that could use his or her name.
B has not spoken publicly since the company fired him.
